Psychomotor skills

Psychomotricity is a discipline of the connection between the mind and the body. It is articulated at the crossroads of motor functions and executive functions, whether they are directly or indirectly related to the environment, psychology or neuro-sensori-motor functions. Sometimes, with a congenital condition or following an accident, a doctor can refer you for psychomotor sessions. Sometimes, the psychologist will suggest meeting the psychomotor therapist to facilitate psychological and motor integration, the shortcomings of which could cause problems with self-esteem or in social relationships. Finally, you as a parent may want to facilitate your child's development. The treatment begins with a psychomotor assessment which will end with a report and a rehabilitation project. The assessment makes it possible to identify the strengths and weaknesses to be worked on and to precisely direct the work to be carried out.
